To mark William Morris’s birthday, art historian Libby Horner presents an engaging talk on Frank Brangwyn, a British artist with an international reputation. Brangwyn was hailed as “the acknowledged master of modern decoration” and created over 12,000 works of art, but where are they now? This illustrated lecture will take audiences on a journey through Brangwyn’s murals and hidden masterpieces, including his contributions to the William Morris Gallery and the Brangwyn Gift.

William Morris has gone viral. His instantly recognisable botanical patterns appear everywhere, from shower curtains and phone cases to fashion collections and even unexpected places like dentist waiting rooms and submarines.
The Morris Mania exhibition will explore the global impact of his designs, featuring collaborations with brands like Nike and Loewe, film and television cameos, and hand-embroidered wedding jackets. Visitors are also invited to contribute their own Morris-patterned objects, creating a dynamic showcase of how his legacy remains woven into daily life.
