The Furry Companion’s Guide to a William Morris Home

The Furry Companion’s Guide to a William Morris Home

At William Morris At Home, we believe that a beautiful home is one that is shared, whether with family, friends, or our most loyal companions—our dogs. To celebrate this, we partnered with Brown’s Hotel and The William Morris Gallery to mark International Dog Day with an event that brought together heritage, design, and the joy of canine companionship.

A Heritage-Inspired Retreat for You and Your Dog

Brown’s Hotel, one of London’s most storied establishments, launched its BFF (Best Furry Friends) Package in collaboration with William Morris At Home. This pet-friendly experience is designed with the same thoughtful craftsmanship and artistic vision that Morris championed. Both guests and their dogs can enjoy a luxurious stay infused with Morris-inspired interiors and cosy comforts.

To celebrate this launch, we hosted an exclusive gathering at Brown’s Hotel, bringing together journalists, editors, and creatives with their beloved dogs. In partnership with The William Morris Gallery, the original home of the iconic designer, this event provided an immersive experience that explored Morris’s enduring influence on interiors and his deep connection to nature.

A Celebration of Craft, Canines, and Culture

The heart of the event took place in the elegant Drawing Room at Brown’s Hotel, where Rowan Bain, Principal Curator of The William Morris Gallery, led an intimate talk about Morris’s lasting impact on interiors, pattern, and craftsmanship. She highlighted the connection between Morris’s love of nature and how his designs continue to bring warmth and character into modern homes, including those shared with four-legged friends.

Following the talk, guests embarked on a scenic dog walk through Mayfair, taking in the charm of the historic city alongside their stylish pups.

Esteemed Guests in Design, Lifestyle, and Media

Among those who attended were:

  • The Editor of Country Living
  • The Editor-in-Chief of Country Living
  • The Editor of Country & Town House Magazine

  • Georgia Toffolo, stylist and owner of Join The Wildpack
  • A writer and columnist for The Times and The Telegraph
  • A beauty columnist for the Daily Mail

Each guest was invited to experience the warmth and rich artistry of William Morris in a setting that was as inspiring for them as it was welcoming for their dogs.
